Becoming Her Initiative walks alongside girls ages 12–18 and young women 19–22 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and Gaston County—providing mentorship, life skills, and community before challenges become crises.

We believe every girl deserves to be seen, valued, and equipped—before life's hardest moments arrive. Through mentorship, emotional wellness, life-skills development, and a caring faith-rooted community, we help young women build confidence, resilience, and a stronger vision for their futures.

Becoming Her Initiative focuses on prevention—reaching girls and young women before challenges become crises. We serve those who are in or aging out of foster care, as well as those at risk, in Mecklenburg County and Gaston County, North Carolina.

- Young women ages 19–22 transitioning from foster care

- Referred by DSS, schools, community agencies, or families
- Seeking mentorship, life skills, or community connection
