Our Programs
Becoming Her Initiative offers prevention-focused programs designed to equip, encourage, and empower girls ages 12–18 and young women ages 19–22 transitioning from foster care. Every program is built on the belief that prevention is an act of hope.
Program Launch Update: Becoming Her Initiative's mentoring and prevention programs are scheduled to launch in Spring 2027. We are currently accepting referrals and expressions of interest from girls, young women, families, schools, and community partners. Submit a referral →

Group Mentoring
Structured group sessions that build community, sisterhood, and shared growth among participants. Girls and young women connect with mentors and peers in a safe, supportive environment.
Individual Mentoring
One-on-one mentoring relationships that provide personalized guidance, encouragement, and consistent support tailored to each girl's or young woman's unique needs and goals.
Life Skills Development
Practical workshops and sessions covering financial literacy, communication, decision-making, self-care, and other essential skills for independent and successful living.
Emotional Wellness & Support
Programming that prioritizes mental health, emotional resilience, and healing. Participants are supported in developing healthy coping strategies and a strong sense of self-worth.
Career & Academic Guidance
Support for educational achievement, career exploration, college readiness, and professional development to help young women build pathways toward their futures.
Parent & Caregiver Support
Resources and connection for parents, foster parents, and caregivers who support the girls and young women in our programs, strengthening the entire family system.
Community Experiences
Enrichment activities, cultural experiences, service opportunities, and events that broaden horizons, build confidence, and connect participants to their broader community.
