Becoming Her Initiative welcomes referrals for girls ages 12–18 and young women ages 19–22 who are transitioning from foster care or who may benefit from our prevention-focused programs, mentorship, and support services.
Who Can Be Referred?
We serve girls ages 12–18 and young women ages 19–22 who are transitioning from foster care or who may benefit from prevention-focused mentorship, life skills, and community support in Mecklenburg County and Gaston County, North Carolina.
- Girls ages 12–18 in foster care or at risk
- Young women ages 19–22 transitioning from foster care
- Girls and young women referred by DSS, schools, or community agencies
- Young people referred by families or caregivers
- Girls and young women seeking mentorship, life skills, or community connection
